Three strands in preparation
The music we carry
Songs, instruments, religious and community music, family songs and the stories behind them. Older musicians teaching younger ones; a diaspora family recognising a song their grandparents sang. Recorded from real people, with their voices kept intact.
The hands that preserve history
Qualified restorers working in stone, marble, wood, metal and sacred art. Young people may learn about restoration from these professionals; no unqualified visitor performs regulated conservation work on protected cultural property.
Recipes are memory
Not food tourism. Who taught the recipe, where it came from, when it was prepared, what family memories surround it. Hands making pasta, bread, sauces and preserves — and the generation watching.
