The Convento di San Francesco in Padula, in the province of Salerno, is a historic Franciscan place. Its origins are traced to the fourteenth century. Detailed history, artworks and dates shown publicly will be published only once verified with the Franciscan community and local historians.

This is why the message is not “save San Francesco”. It is not abandoned and it is not a ruin. The approximately €300,000 currently being discussed relates to desired improvements, preservation, restoration and preparation for the future.
