Food shared around a table still matters.
Stories still matter.
Older people still have things to teach us.
Young people have things to teach us too.
Community matters. Service matters. Faith matters.
Nature matters. Human presence matters.
We believe people are searching — for peace, for meaning, for belonging, for somewhere to slow down and be listened to.
We believe a place can still offer that, if people are willing to keep it alive.
We believe heritage should not simply be admired. It should be lived.
We believe traditions should not simply be documented. They should be transmitted.
We believe young people deserve opportunities to discover a world larger than the one they know.
We believe people who left Padula can still belong to Padula.
We believe visitors should participate rather than consume, and leave something good behind.
We believe preservation and progress can exist together.
We believe San Francesco can continue serving another generation.
And we believe that sometimes moving forward begins with returning to what matters.
